Dr Meg Harvie is a specialist paediatric dentist with extensive experience managing complex paediatric dental cases. She is skilled in providing treatment under nitrous oxide sedation and general anaesthesia, aiming to ensure children receive safe, comfortable and effective care. Dr Meg currently works at The Women’s and Children’s Hospital and has previously gained experience at The Royal Children’s Hospital (Melbourne) and The Royal Dental Hospital.
Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Dr Meg completed her Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Dentistry at La Trobe University in Bendigo. She later moved to Melbourne to undertake her specialisation, earning a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Paediatrics from The University of Melbourne. Her clinical expertise spans both public and private sectors, giving her a comprehensive understanding of paediatric oral health needs.
Dr Meg loves bringing magic and fun into every dental appointment, aiming to create a positive and memorable experiences for children. Seeing her patients leave the clinic with smiles on their faces is her ultimate reward. She is passionate about combining the scientific and artistic aspects of dentistry to deliver personalised, high-quality care for every child.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Meg enjoys exploring local food and markets, travelling to experience new cultures and spending time in nature through walking, cycling and snorkeling. An adrenaline enthusiast, she loves extreme activities such as skydiving, bungee jumping and white river rafting. A fun fact: her first dental experience was a filling on a chipped front tooth after swimming with her eyes closed. Her favourite food is pani puri—a must-try for anyone who hasn’t yet!
